Jackie 'O' Henderson has hit back after the $5million construction of her 'dream home' inspired fury among her neighbours.

The radio queen, 50, has insisted she was shocked that a neighbour had called her 'disgusting' in a recent interview on the renovations.

'The funny thing is that every neighbour has gone out of their way to say how great my builders are and how thoughtful and considerate they are,' Jackie said on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show this week.

When asked by a producer if she felt bad about the worksite caravans she had parked in the street, Jackie was apologetic.

'It's really unfortunate and I hate that I would ever be putting people out,' she added.

Addressing recent comments from an angry Neighbour, Jackie said to her co-host Kyle Sandilands: 'She did say that we are disgusting, you and I'.

'You can't blame people for thinking we're disgusting,' Kyle joked.

Jackie taken on the ambitious project that will see a complete transformation of an oceanfront Clovelly house she purchased at open auction in March 2023.

It is located in one of Sydney's most sought-after suburbs.

Two years after the KIIS FM star dropped $13.25million on the eastern suburbs pad, residents close to the building site are complaining about noise and disruptions.

Residents claim that demolition work on the site, located on a small cul-de-sac overlooking Gordon's Bay, has created 'horrendous' noise, according to news.com.au.

One resident complained to the publication about vehicles owned by tradies working on Jackie's home blocking road access and disregarding designated parking areas.

'I don't want to have to go to them every time I want to get out of my driveway,' the disgruntled neighbour said.

A tradie informed the publication that work on the site won't be completed until June 2026.

Meanwhile, the sight's foreman said that all the necessary work permits relating to the building of Jackie's huge three-storey abode have been approved.

A report in the Wentworth Courier confirmed that Randwick Council received two complaints about construction.

None related to noise or disruptions but rather raised concerns over sediment from the site falling into the ocean.

'Upon receiving the complaints, council officers attended the property and requested the builder implement additional sediment mitigation measures to reduce potential run-off to the ocean,' a spokesperson told the publication.

Builders made the changes to the site as requested, they said.

Jackie recently shared a glimpse of the incredible view from her 'dream home' as construction got underway.

She posted a picture to Instagram early this month which showed that once building is completed the radio star will enjoy an amazing ocean view.

Back in December Jackie shared video and images of the demolishing works on the original property.

Photos showed a sloped frontage, leading to several staggered levels with the whole area now cordoned off with temporary fencing.

The scene was a far cry from the 1960s-era home that once stood on the site.

An aerial photo of the site revealed just how close Jackie will be to the stunning coastline.

The picture showed the crystals clear water just meters away from what will eventually be Jackie's front door.

The property is located on a clifftop over looking the ocean in Clovelly, which lies 9km from the CBD.

'And so it begins,' Jackie captioned the post as she shared her excitement for the build.

The house is set back from the road, offering Jackie the privacy she hasn't had on the narrow streets of her former address.

The high-profile media star had previously complained about intrusive paparazzi as the reason for her sale of her past home.

Jackie bought her new home after pocketing a tidy $2million in profit on the sale of her old home in Woollahra, after paying $11million for it in 2020.
