QPEL Error

QPel is only supported in DP-600.

QPel means Quarter Pixel. Neither the TV screen nor the players CPU can handle it because it is too heavy to be handled. You have to re-encode these files. You can solve this by using virtual dub to recode the whole file.

You can get virtual dub here www.virtualdub.org You can get codec’s here www.divx-digest.com

Open the file in virtual dub and select:

 -Audio/Full Processing mode
 -Video/Full Processing mode
-Then select FILE and save as AVI

This corrects the errors that might be in the file and it should solve the problem. You can also recode the whole file to another codec if you want. Just remember to disable the Qpel in the Compression menu.

The only way to play QPel on a TV screen is to ignore it, as a TV cannot handle QPel. Then you will see the result by yourself. KISS (Linksys) claims to make high quality players (audio and video decompression)

- So their players won’t display a MPEG4 format ignoring an option of it.
